Bumps one year after laser hair removal? (Photos)

Question

I have small white bumps under my armpits that appeared after the 4th or 5th laser hair treatment. I had seven total treatments. The bumps have stayed at least a year, if not longer. I’ve been to three doctors. They ave lanced them and the bumps are empty inside, so they are not milia. They do not bother me and they do not create any symptoms other than they look awful. Have you ever seen anything like this after laser hair removal? I’ve tried bactroban, retin a. Nothing works

This needs an in-person evaluation. These may be improved with lasers and microneedling/prp. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

This question points out the difficulty of answering medical questions in this format.  A few things are clear:  this is not a usual complication of laser treatment, and it may be a pre-existing condition unmasked by hair removal.  Simple measures have failed to resolve it.  I would suggest getting the opinion of a dermatologist willing to biopsy (for diagnosis only--this does not look like cancer).  Best to you, Dr. Kennedy

It is not clear from your pictures, what is going on.  You should seek medical attention to determine what that is.  That is not a typical complication from laser hair removal.
