I have a hole in my gums following temp crown placement, should I follow up with my dentist? (Photo)

I was fitted for 2 crowns and the dentist left a hole in my gums. Not sure if this is normal? Now I am getting shooting pains from that area up through my temple that are quick jolts. Should I follow up or go through the motions?

Lacey, Please call your dentist's office and let them know you are in pain. I'm sure your dentist will take your concerns to heart. They cannot help you if you do not ask for help. He/she will be better able to evaluate the space in between your teeth and offer care.
For now, it is imperative to keep the site clean. Gently rinse your mouth after eating with warm salty water. Do not use floss or dental picks to clean the area.
