Any chance for this upper lip protuberance to be selectively dissolved with hyaluronidase? Or any other method? (photo)

Almost 9 days after fillers. By now, hopes this will go away on its own are gone. Do you think an experienced injector could save the upper lip without dissolving everything? I cannot afford another filler session so this could be the only chance this was not a complete waste of money. Thanks

It can take up to two weeks for swelling to resolve, so it is recommended you wait at least this time before considering dissolving the product.  If after two weeks you still have concerns, return to your injector for an evaluation.  After a discussion of you concerns you can determine what is the best action to help you achieve the results you want.

You may still have some swelling from your lip filler so you should wait 2 weeks to see your final result.  If you were injected with a hyaluronic acid filler, hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve it.  Treatments should be performed by a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Give yourself more time to heal. Usually 2-3 weeks allnof the swelling will subside. Hyaluronidase is very unspecific and it’s a liquid. So it will go everywhere. A protruding lip like yours looks 1000xs better than let say and concaved lip once the eraser enzyme melts only certain area away.

The injection of filler into the upper lip elicits an inflammatory reaction, manifested by swelling and fullness.  As you are only 9 days out, the swelling has not totally resolved. I recommend that you wait another week or two to allow for resolution before contemplating hyaluronidase injection.  Consider massaging the area. Hyaluronidase will dissolve the filler. However, it is difficult to estimate the amount required for partial correction without losing the rest.
Continue followup with your plastic surgeon.
