Am I good candidate for buccal fat removal? I hate smiling with my teeth because I have chubby cheeks even though Im thin. I have inserted my photos (blurred for privacy) and the wish goals. Would it look like that when I smile if I go for a partial buccal fat pad removal? I don't want too much out because I dont want to look gaunt. I have poor cheekbones so if I get a buccal fat pad removal maybe I'll need cheekbone filler later to compensate the loss of chubby cheeks. Are my edits realistic?
Answer: Buccal Pad Thanks for your question and Pictures The buccal fat pad is a rounded mass of fat in the middle of your cheek. It’s located between facial muscles, in the hollow area beneath your cheekbone. The size of your buccal fat pads affects your face shape. Everyone has buccal fat pads. However, the size of buccal fat pads can vary greatly. If you have larger buccal fat pads, you might feel like your face is too round or full. You can be a candidate for a Buccal Pad removal surgery. Best of Luck

Answer: Smiling view: unrealistic edits If you look at most before and afters you see the difference in a non-smiling view. While you may get a difference in the smiling view there is no guarantee of that so I would not do the surgery if that is your primary goal. In addition, for your flat cheeks you can augment them WITH the buccal fat (fat grafting). This lasts longer than filler and its already removed so ideally you shouldn't have to pay a crazy amount extra.
