My Underarms Started Peeling off and Became Very Red After Application of Green Peeling Oil from a Local Store? (photo)

is it normal that it became like this? its very itchy, very red and shiny at the same time after it started to peeled off. due to itchiness i tried to remove the peeled skin , considering that it says on the instructions not to peel it off, but i just cant help it coz its too itchy. would it lead to hyper pigmentation or it will even be lighter? i put some bethametasone lotion during the itchiness attack. as off now im applying a whitening cream. will it help to lighten the areas?
