Why can no one help with eyelid malposition & excess sclera after strabismus? (Photo)

I am a 50 year old woman who had a second strabismus surgery a few years ago. I am blind in my right eye, and both times, the surgeon only did the strabismus surgery on the blind eye. The problem is that only touching one eye has caused my right eye to pull forward and look bulgy from the muscle resection. I have paid for many consults by oculoplastic surgeons with no options given. Can someone tell me why no one can help me?

You need a real consultation to determine precisely what your concern is.  The photo you put up shows no evidence of lazy eye nor evidence of ptosis which is sometimes mistaken for a "lazy eye."  A lazy eye refers to amblyopia with an eye that does not develop normal vision usually do...

Could this be mild strabismus? (photos)

Your photos indicate that you may have mild lower eyelid retraction [white showing underneath your cornea-"scleral show"].Strabismus alludes to misalignment of the eyes, or "crossed eyes", which your photos don't show.

Your eyelid surgery is reconstructive in nature. Work with your oculoplastic surgeon to determine the best timing for you. Sounds like you have had an intense run of procedures to decompress and slow your graves disease. Good Luck,Dr Shifrin

Thank you for your question. You may want to wait a full year or longer to evaluate the surgery after all healing has occurred, or until your surgeon tells you the result is complete. Then you can be evaluated by a board certified surgeon or oculosurgeon, and you may need to go to a university...

This information is commonly part of the surgical consent for strabismus surgery.  However as you say you had surgery last week.  It is very likely that what you are looking at is just swelling.  I recommend patience.  Heal from this procedure and if the eyelid issue persists...
