As Finasteride have sexual side effects I dont want to use it for my hair loss. So can I stop or decrease hairfall and regrow hair by having 3 cup of green tea daily + having soyabean daily + getting PRP treatment once in 2 months + taking vitamin capsules daily and using Minoxidil??? My age is 24. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Answer: You can be a smarter consumer if you understand there is no cure for genetic hair loss. You can be a smarter consumer if you understand there is no cure for genetic hair loss. Even Propecia does not stop or cure genetic male pattern hair loss. You can try alternative treatments but it is unclear why you think green tea and soybeans would help.

Answer: Options for hair loss There certainly is a possibility you'll see improvement with the treatment outlined, especially minoxidil and PRP use. However, results from finasteride would likely be far superior.

Answer: Natural DHT blockers Dear rb9909, Thank you for your clinical post and photographs. The use of Finasteride also called Propecia which blocks androgen production at its source and therefore lowers local scalp DHT is likely the gold standard in delaying true genetic male pattern hair loss. The additional use of vasodilators like topical Minoxidil and low-level light therapy and even stem cell therapy such as plasma rich protein may be assistive in and stimulating growth of dormant hairs, but not necessary in delaying the progression of male pattern hair loss. There are some natural DHT blockers as they are called and these homeopathic products such as green tea, soy, Ginko and ginger have no proven Finasteride benefit, but certainly used in moderate doses and amounts should do no harm. In the final analysis your male pattern hair loss will progress according to your genetic fate and as the density decreases the probability for hair restoration increases. At SpaMedica we specialize in non-linear scar hair restoration using FUE, NeoGraft and Artas. I hope this information has been of some assistance and best of luck. Answer: Natural DHT blockers From the pictures, I would ask why put your hair at risk of loss that might not reverse by treating it with anything other than the drug finasteride, which is the only DHT blocker known effectively. Many people think that saw palmetto is an effective DHT blocker, but it has been shown to have no value and treating it the way you described tells me that you are wasting valuable time as your hair loss progresses. Many men under 30, will stop or reverse the thinning that occurs with genetic balding with the drug finasteride. I also always perform bulk measurements with an instrument called HAIR CHECK which is a good way to determine just how much thinning you have that you can not see. Once this test is done and you have gone a year, I often repeat the test as it gives an excellent measurement on what happened to your hair over the year. If it got better and some of the thinning reversed, maybe you won't need a transplant and that is the goal that you should look to do. Of course, a good doctor is critical to this course.
