Should I massage my butt after a BBL, also how long does it take for the button to pop after a BBL?

Thank you for your question.  If you just had this procedure done I would not recommend directly massaging the area where the fat was injected as you want the fat to settle in.  We offer lymphatic massages here to target your specific area needs that will aid in your recovery.  A lymphatic massage eases swelling, bruising, and discomfort after surgeries such as liposuction.  Lymphatic massage is an effective way to speed healing and improve comfort.  I recommend seeking this type of massage by a trained professional.

Thank you for your question. Post-op massages are beneficial for many reasons. To name a few, they increase the circulation of the blood and lymph systems and desensitizes the skin, to stimulate the nerve endings so they start to regenerating themselves.Talk to your surgeon about how soon you should go in for your post surgical massage.Hope this helps,Dr. Newall 

Each doctor may have a different protocol for post-op and you should ask your surgeon. I do not usually have patients massage.  Swelling will mask some of the results as well.
