Identical bumps and holes on back of lateral incisors - cavities or genetic defect?

Ever since I can remember I've had these bumps of bone on the back of my lateral incisors that I never paid much attention to. Recently I decided to look in there with a mirror and I noticed two identical holes, just under the bumps. I have no pain whatsoever. I feel like if these were cavities, they would hurt like hell as they're very visible. But could I be wrong? Is it possible that this is just the way my teeth are shaped... With holes in addition to the bumps?
