I am getting ready for a jaw surgery with Invisalign. Do I have to switch to traditional braces during the time of the surgery?

The use of these devices for Orthognathic preparation is gaining popularity around the world . Nonetheless I firmly believe that you should have traditional ortho installed prior your surgery given that it’s easier for stability to be mantained trough the wire arch than splints.
There are many surgeons that don’t do that and have had success. But cases should be very well selected.
