I have 6+ keloids in various places on my body and have cut myself shaving and caused a new one to form. I am not scared to shave and want to know if IPL hair removal would work for me.

We do not recommend treating at home with any lasers or home devices for your keloid scars. We recommend being evaluated and treated at a Medical Spa with an experienced Laser Technician Professional. At-home devices are not as effective and can cause unwanted side effects, especially if you do not have experience with an Intense Pulsed Light Laser. There are many precautions to take, which a few include: wearing the proper PPE, not tanning your skin for 4 weeks prior to treatment, using the proper settings for your skin type, and proper time before treatments.
