Unfortunately at home IPL lasers are not able to accurately provide laser hair removal results due to their limitations regarding pulses and frequency. Additionally, hair type and skin tone can drastically affect how the hair follicles react to laser treatment. While you may see some slight improvement with the multiple treatments that you’ve completed, you will likely never achieve full hair removal. Going forward, I would recommend that you complete multiple consultations with board certified experts to discuss laser hair removal with professional equipment. Treatment typically takes about 6-8 sessions depending on hair thickness, treatment consistency, skin tone, and hair pigmentation, but additional treatments may be necessary for stubborn areas.Best of luck in your journey!Kian Karimi MD, FACS
if it didint work , which most at home devics do not, go to the office for hair removal + vaniqa. facial areas do best with aerolase or diode. at home dermarolling and in office dermaplanning help make the hair removal work better (see link and also enlighten peel from emeragecosmetics.com). Best, Dr. Emer.
IPL is a medical procedure that needs to be performed by qualified and trained medical professionals using FDA approved medical devices. Anything else can be a waste of time, money and can be dangerous .
Don’t waste your money on any home IPL or laser hair reduction equipment. Advertisers prey on people with promises of success with home “laser” and light energy therapies. Any machine that has the capacity to work has been FDA certified through stringent medical testing and may only be operated by professional medical providers in a safe and approved office.Best wishes,Pamela Stuart, MD
Thank you for your question. Devices that are meant to be used at home for laser hair removal may not guarantee you results that will be as effective, as opposed to going to seeing an expert for treatment. It would be best to schedule a consult with a trusted provider. Best of luck!
Have a consultation with a certified technician to see if your a candidate and discuss how many treatments are needed. Home devices usually do not yield desired results. See an expert! Best of luck...
Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis. We see atrophic and hypertrophic scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus...
The best devices are diode, yag, or Alex lasers. NEWER IPLs have some improvement but arent as follicle specific. If you only do a few treatments you may be left with patches. Best, Dr. Emer.
Is suggest an at home enlighten or cosmelan peel and the proper medical grade skincare. Acne requires a combination approach to get long term improvement. For all patients on isotretinoin, we require them to be on skin care such as vitamin C, glycolic cream, kojic acid serums in the morning ...
