Hello there, This seems like a simple case of left over bonding material on your teeth. If the surface feels rough, then your dentist should be able to just remove the excess bonding material and have his/her hygienist polish your teeth to a point where they feel very smooth. Congratulations on finally getting your braces off and good luck on getting those rough spots taken care of.
Ideally, your tooth surface would feel as "smooth" as it did prior to having the attachment. Let your orthodontist know what you are experiencing and most likely it can be remedied. In my experience, it is always of value to let your experiences and observations be known,;they may be quite significant, or at least you can receive information that can put your mind at ease.
It may be that there is no abrasion of your tooth enamel but rather the orthodontist has not polished away all the composite from attachments and all that has to be done is to finish this. In our office we use high power magnification when removing attachments and polishing the teeth so this is never a problem. If going back to your orthodontist does not solve your concern the only other option is to get a second opinion.
