Degree of Improvement of Retin-A for pitted scars?

I know retinoids like Retin-A and Tazorac remodel collagen in the dermis, so if one uses them at a high strength for many years, can they eventually get rid of indented scarring and other skin imperfections completely?

Topical treatments for Acne scars is a good choice but not a complete treatment.  I would suggest topical treatment like you are doing, but more than likely you will also need resurfacing treatments with laser or other modality as well.  Depending on the degree of scaring you may also need additional treatments as well.  I would suggest in person consultation to review your options.  Without posting pictures or seeing you in person it is impossible to give you specific advice.Good Luck.

Retin a will increase collagen.    There is usually minimal changes to scars in general.   Pit scars are deep scars and you will not see any significant changes.
