It is difficult to say exaclty what a burning sensation is in an augmented breast. A physical exam is the best way to work towards a diagnosis. Good lcuk.
It is difficult to determine without an examination what is the cause for your burning sensation. If you have saline implants if there was a leakage then your breast on that side would get smaller. I would go see the plastic surgeon that did your original surgery and they can evaluate you. Good luck
Mammograms are a poor way to pick up an implant leak or rupture so I would get an ultrasound and MRI. 15 year old implants may be leaking as the technology then was not as good as todayDr Corbin
Although, a burning sensation is not necessarily a sign of a breast implant leakage, I would suggest you have your plastic surgeon see you for an evaluation. If you are over 40 and have not had a recent mammogram or MRI scan of your breast, you surgeon may advise you to have one of these tests to better assess both your implants and breast tissue. Best wishes.
Without an exam it will be difficult to provide you with a diagnosis for your symptoms. I recommend following up with a plastic surgeon in your area to determine if any type of intervention or treatment may be required. Thank you for sharing your concerns. Best wishes. For additional information about Revision Breast Augmentation:
