This is syndrome that affects all tissues in human body and presents in multitude of varieties. Risks of any surgery are increased, including anesthesia, healing, etc. It would be in your best interest to be properly evaluated by medical specialist familiar with this condition and do this surgery in collaboration of surgeon and, at least, an internist. Size of 375ml may overstretch your breast tissue, muscle and skin and, in a long run, create some problems. In person consultation is recommended. Good luck.
Ehlers Danlos comes is a wide range of how lose your skin might be. From your photos I don’t think you would have any problem in the near term. But over time your skin May sitter has especially after having children.
I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Good morning,I think your body can definitely fit 375cc, but of course we would determine the exact size and profile when I measure your chest, we review photos together, and you have an opportunity to try on the implant sizers here in the office. Coincidentally I have performed augmentation on two patients this year with Ehlers Danlos- I perform over 500 augmentations a year and have been doing so for over 20 years so there are very few things I haven't run in to during the course of my career.
Dear MinnieEDS,breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Since your tissue stretches, I would suggest going with a smaller implant and placing it behind the muscle with using Alloderm for extra support as well and an internal suuture bra. You may do very well.
The definitive answer to this question would necessitate an exam and a long discussion with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. However, based only on your photos, I would say it depends on how natural you want to look. You have a relatively small amount of breast tissue and your skin has minimal laxity. 375 cc implants could certainly be implanted, but if you want to be as natural as possible, I think 375 cc is a little large. A final decision should be made in the operating room with implant sizers to see how 375cc looks. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Greetings, Sorry to hear about your late seroma. Looks like you need to return to your plastic surgeon for further evaluation and care. You may have a combination of issues and drainage by a trained radiologist with appropriate studies could be a good starting point. Have your plastic surgeon...
Profiles refer to the projection of an implant. The higher the profile, the more the implant will project from the body. If you are looking at a 165c implant for example, the low profile mplant would be wider and flatter than a higher profile implant of the same volume. Many surgeons have...
Hi & thanks for your question! Many patients get an MRI every 10 years. Speak with your surgeon for his/her guidelines on this. The cost will vary in different areas of the country, so you would need to call around to different facilities for fees. Best wishes!
