My experience with Dr. Oldham and his staff was beyond amazing from start to finish. I was very pleasantly surprised when I had my 1st consultation with Dr. Oldham, he did not push any unneeded procedures on me as a lot of plastic surgeons try to do and listened to all my wants and concerns and went over all options with me then gave his recommendations. I had abdominoplasty and liposuction done and the procedure went great, Dr. Oldham is very professional and caring. Even after my surgery on a Saturday I had questions and he called me back immediately and took care of my questions. Dr. Oldham is the best of the best and I recommend anyone thinking of plastic surgery to meet with him. Updated on 7 Aug 2019: I still have very slight swelling and lower abdominal numbness 3 months post op. I just started getting back into a workout routine to define my abs! I can finally say I have abs to define since my surgery due to having the abs muscles sewn tight!!
I love Dr. Oldham I have used Dr. Oldham throughout the past 14 years to help me to feel better about my aging body and face. He is experienced, does not do any procedure that he thinks is not indicated, and has a hawk eye for every detail which results in his magnificent work. It doesn’t appear that I have “ had work done”. Rather, I often hear “ geez you never age!”. Moreso I feel better about who’s looking back in the mirror.
Dr. Oldham is a superb plastic surgeon with a wonderful bedside manner which is so hard to find these days. I have had several procedures done by him over the past eight years and couldn't be happier with all of the results. Dr. Oldham's staff practices the utmost in professionalism and they go out of their way to help with anything required. The entire practice makes you feel comfortable and at ease during appointments surgery follow up etc. Dr. Oldham personally takes the time to explain your procedure and takes the utmost precautionary measures that other surgeons in the area do not. I feel years younger and truly enjoy the reduction and lift I had. My body is in complete proportion and looks fabulous. I can thank Dr. Oldham for giving me the confidence and care I deserved!
I needed this surgery to recover my body after 4 c sections. I am so happy with the results and the process. I did not suffer at all (I was expecting this too be much more invasive). I was just tired for the 3 next days but after, totally back to normal. Dr Oldham is a great specialist, never pushing for more. Some doctors advised me much more costly and invasive procedures and he just said that this was not needed. I feel he was right. I am very happy of the results and even proud of my body. A special mention to the professionalism of the staff, who was always available and caring.
After decades of issues with finding clothes that fit (shirts gapping between the buttons, jackets and coats that either wouldn't button or smashed me, having to alter the bottom half of a dress to get the top half to fit), along with some minor back issues, I decided it was time to downsize. The fringe benefit is that along with clothes now fitting, I'm also shaped more proportionally and am less "pendulous" and can wear all the beautiful bras that I've always wanted but that did not provide enough support. The procedure went very well and I did not need anything more than tylenol post-procedure. I'm thrilled with the outcome!
I was always being asked if I felt ok when I felt fine. My husband kept asking me, 'What's wrong?" Nothing was wrong. I simply looked tired and as if I had been crying. I also had sundamaged skin that accelerated my natural aging pattern that I inherited. I felt that at my age it was time to do something for myself that mattered to me and me alone. I am amazed at how much better I feel about my image, knowing that I now look as good as I feel.
I had been thinking of having this procedure for many years but was too afraid to take the plunge. I met with a few other plastic surgeons but no one made me feel as comfortable as Dr. Oldham. After one meeting with him I could tell he was competent and that he wanted to make sure I would be happy with the results. After deciding to go ahead with the procedure, I spoke to Dr. Oldham about also adding a abdominalplasty. He was very reassuring that he had done many in combination before with beautiful outcomes. So a few days before surgery I decided to do this too. I have talked to many women who have had the breast reduction only to be unhappy because they still had a large tummy. Dr. Oldham was always on time for my appointments, always took my calls when I had even the slightest worry. His staff is wonderful and also very supportive. Having both surgeries at the same time was a blessing for me. The breast surgery was painless. Really not hard at all to recover from. The abdominal surgery was a bit harder to recover from but having said that, Dr. Oldham made it as smooth as possible. I would trust him again with any plastic surgery I needed to have. Some of the things that made it nicer for me was that Dr. Oldham has you come in to his office the day before surgery to make his markings which saves a lot of time in the hospital. He also does not use drains for the breast surgery which was a big deal for me. It was truly worth it to have this done. I feel fantastic now and can do many things that I couldn't before.
Surgery was required as silicone breast implants had ruptured and were leaking. I chose removal and replacement with somewhat smaller saline implants. At the time, being concerned about the rupture, I wasn't positive I wanted to replace the implants. After much discussion with my partner and Dr. Oldham, I decided to replace them with saline implants. I feel this was the right decision for me. Dr. Oldham, was professional, caring, and showed concern. He gave me the information/facts that I needed to make the decision for myself.
I had very bad skin as a teenager which left me with severe acne scars. I always disliked my appearance. As I got older and realized that I had a sagging neck to go along with scarred skin and wrinkles, I knew I wanted to do something. Through someone that I know, I found out about Dr. Oldham. I knew right away that he was a kind and gentle man. He took his time talking to me, explaining my options and outcomes as well as showing me before and after pictures. I felt safe with him. Two months have now passed and I am very pleased with the results. The actual recuperation period was only about 10-14 days so I was able to return to work relatively quickly. Oh, and since I have very short hair, Dr. Oldham had to spend extra time trying to hide my stitches and I must say he did a marvelous job.
After living my entire life with a small chest and after having 2 kids my small chest got droopy. I decided to finally do something for me and give myself a self esteem boost by increasing my breast size. This procedure was done 100% for me alone, not anyone else. Ultimately, my husband did benefit but I wanted to do this for the right reason. And that right reason was me. The increased size and fullness was what I always dreamed of having.
A highly visible scar following augmentation mammoplasty is a common concern for women seeking that procedure, so you are not alone. There are pros and concerns to all incisions and here are some considerations: while it's true that the periareolar incision has the highest risk of capsular contracture and a contracture is the most common complication, that problem is still relatively small. (Subsequent surgery is often successful or removal of the implants will take care of that problem). You have a relatively well developed inframammary fold (deeper than many patients who seek this procedure). In the standing or sitting position, a scar in the inframammary fold will not be visible, but it will be visible while you are lying down. The periareolar scar is usually less visible than an inframammary scar (it is often nearly invisible), but it is in a more visible location. The pink coloration of your areolar is not a problem. I heard a world renown plastic surgeon say that the worst periareolar scar is better than the best inframammary scar. While I don't completely agree with that statement, there is something to it. The bottom line regarding the appearance of the scar is primarily the ability of your body to make favorable scars, and secondarily the skill of the surgeon. In my opinion, you absolutely don't need a lift, and that procedure should be avoided since those scars can be very unfavorable. An axillary incision will create the best possible scar, but you need to find a surgeon who does a lot of those procedures, since the procedure can be more difficult for surgeons to learn. If you develop a capsular contracture from that procedure, you may need an inframammary incision to address it. I hope these comments help. Good luck.
Everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry, but in the limited photos of your face, I don't see any with you. Your smile lines are minimal (a face lift usually does not change those lines much anyway.) and it is far far too early for a mini face lift. What a person can do with their hands on their face does not usually simulate what can be done with surgery. Be happy with your face--it's beautiful.
This is a common problem that I have seen many times in my career, although it is rare for this to go on for so long. As a result, it may be more complicated. The solution is usually very simple in but it has the be the correct one. The abscess (pocket of pus) needs to be drained under local anesthesia and a packing inserted to keep the skin from healing over prematurely and trapping the pus inside. After several days when the drainage has nearly stopped, the packing can be removed and the skin opening can heal. Without the packing to keep the skin incision open, the skin heals over prematurely trapping the pus, and it never has a chance to heal "inside out". Dermatologists are very good at what they do, but in my experience, dermatologists rarely put in packing. You need to see a surgeon. Good luck.
Your photos don't show your clavicles or neck, and you are leaning back a bit so it's difficult be certain of anything. However, your nipples seem to be well above the crease under the breast and are above the apex of the breast, so you would be a very good for a breast augmentation. This will give you rounder, fuller breasts, and will especially give you more fullness in the upper breasts. I hope this helps
With the exception of women who are overweight or have very large breasts, the distance between your breasts is not excessively wider than most women's and it looks very normal. To answer your question, implants in front of the muscle can be placed closer together so that distance can diminish considerably. Implants behind the muscle, however, cannot be placed very close together because the pectoralis muscle limits that. In my opinion, the advantages of implants behind the muscle (better mammograms and softer, more natural feeling breasts) far outweigh any disadvantages. You have some asymmetry of your breasts now, so you will also have some asymmetry post-augmentation. I hope this helps--good luck.
