at h ome roller with growth factors, oral vitamins, and restorsea spray can help. less hair pull is essential. in office prp/acell/steroids can help. see linke to emeragecosmetics.com.I suggest a formal consultation as there are a combination of treatments that can be done to improve har loss. Oral finesteride has very little to no side effects in the majority of people; PRP/platelet-rich plasma + stem cells like A Cell help regrow hair and slow down the thinning process; rogaine and restorsea spray should be used daily; oral viviscal helps keep nutrients high in the follices as well. Transplantation is a last resort but works early in the aging process as well. A formal consultation and combination treatment is needed. Best, Dr. Emer.
In my opinion, it depends how long the traction alopecia has been present. PRP can be used successfully if the traction is of short duration. The presence of multiple, wispy, fine hairs in your photo is a positive sign for success of PRP therapy. A biopsy to determine the status of the follicles would provide additional information. In general, If the majority of the follicles are scarred, a hair transplant is recommended. Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself Verified All-star
Neither. PRP and hair transplantation is not first line for treating traction alopecia. So what is? Well first one needs a proper examination and review of blood tests. Low iron and low vitamin D are common and need to be corrected if low. Topical or oral minoxidil with periodic use of either a topical steroid or steroid injections can help early traction alopecia quite well. Hair practices that contribute to traction must be stopped. PRP is far leas effective and hair transplants are only a short term solution if the above is not followed. A scalp examination to rule out underlying cicatricial alopecia or other inflammatory issue must be performed. For a few hundred dollars rather than a few thousand dollars, early traction can be addressed in many people.
Hello, for hair restoration we do microneedling and/or injections with PRP or anteage stem cells. You will need a series of treatments and we recommend using the stem cells at home as well but we have seen great results with it. Good luck!
PRP for hair loss is an excellent method to restore density and thickness. For early hair loss, young patients, isolated areas of hair loss PRP is often the preferred treatment method for hair restoration.
The best treatment for traction alopecia is a hair transplant as the traction killed hair follicles that caused the loss of hair
Hi Sandrathair Plasma from PRP therapy naturally promotes the production of collagen and elastin to reveal tauter, more youthful-appearing skin. It is also an effective treatment for stimulating hair growth. As it uses your own blood, the risk of adverse or allergic reactions is basically...
PRP with or without Acell has been shown to increase hair volume and density. However, you are right in taking everything you hear with a grain of salt. Realistic expectations are key and the PRP treatments don't always give the same results for everyone. Performing a hair...
Hello, Yes prp is a great treatment. It takes more than 1 session to see the benefits. Minimum 3-4 times in a year
I have been doing hair injections for over 13 years and YES acell+PRP is better than PRP alone and Exosome therapy also helps. fat stem cells often help even more. transplant is the best but even with transplant you still need PRP+acell +/- exosome or fat stem cells. regular maintenance is a...
You can use prp, stem cells to this area even Exosomes but nothing is "permanent" unless its transplant. Latisse helps and looks really good with minimal long term need for maintenance. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello, You can consider hair transplant and prp at the same time. Only prp will prevent further hair loss, however it wont give you much density
