Hello and thank you for your question! I'm very sorry you experienced this! Fillers can help soften, but correct they are not a long term solution for the area. A skin surfacing treatment such as microneedling or laser resurfacing may give you the results you are looking for! Microneedling is a treatment that creates little micro injuries in the skin to stimulate collagen. These little injuries are almost like tiny wells that promote the collagen and cell turnover (new skin) I am speaking of. You typically see full results from microneeedling 6-8 weeks later and multiple treatments may be necessary. Laser resurfacing is another skin surfacing treatment that may be performed to resurface fine lines, wrinkles, and scarring as well, but it is more aggressive. We are essentially doing a deep laser peel with either fractionated lasers or fully ablative lasers which involve more down time. I suggest making a consultation with a provider near you!
