I am 5'10 and about 120lbs. I was told a 425cc would look fairly natural and good. But after looking at some things online I saw that most women who have gotten 425cc go up to around a D in cup size. I am a 34A I am hoping for more of a B/C. Is 425cc to big?
Answer: 425cc's Thank you for your question. It would be helpful to see a photo and to know your breast dimensions. There is no set volume that makes someone a B,C, or D cup. Each size implant can look very different depending on your body habitus. I find that 375-450cc's works very well on someone of your height. I believe it is important to place an implant that fits your chest dimensionally well. I hope this helps you.

Answer: IS 425 too big? There's no way to answer your question and predict your outcome online. I do believe, however, that you're a bit high for the "average" patient with 425. Again, without seeing that volume on your body, there's not way to predict. I do encourage patients to choose the breast implant volume which looks the best and forget about bra sizes because if you choose based simply on bra sizes, then you're limiting how beautiful you could be in the end! This is how I do sizing and shape in my office and patients find these tips to be reliable:1) Guiding patients to explore reasonable options for breast implant size, usually two to three similar sizes, which allows the patient to visualize how different volumes affect their breast cup. 2) The best guide for a final breast implant size recommendation is derived using measurements from the patient’s own breasts and chest. e more cle3) When measurements are considered then options for sizes can be presented. 4) I use the Mentor Volume Sizing System of breast sizers to demonstrate how these different volumes will look on a patient’s body. 5) This methods offers good reliability and is simple to use, but is not perfect. When patients feel unsure about a size and shape, we ask them back to the office to try sizing until they're very confident with the choice they're making. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Will a 425cc be too large? Just remember that cc's do not translate into cup sizes. Cup sizes are determined by bra manufacturers and vary from one manufacturer to the next. More importantly, make sure your board certified plastic surgeon takes the time to properly evaluate and measure you so you get the ideal implant size for you based upon your breast measurements/breast pocket. Remember, you want to optimally fill your breast pocket but you don't want to overfill or underfill. Best of luck!

Answer: Will a 425cc be too large? Hello! Thank you for your question. In general, implant size does not correlate with bra cup size. The cup size itself will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer as well as who is doing the actual measurements. Thus, cup size is never a reliable indicator for your breast size. I typically encourage my patients not to communicate her desires in cup size but more on the actual look and appearance. Given your desires, a breast augmentation, with an implant or fat grafting, would be an ideal procedure that would meet your expectations. Breast augmentation is now the most popular procedure performed in plastic surgery today. One tolerated very well by women with minimal downtime and high patient satisfaction. Good communication between you and your surgeon of your expectations is warranted - choosing your surgeon wisely is the first step. Discussion of your wishes and having an honest and open dialog of your procedure is mandatory (e.g, implant type, incision, placement, etc). Your height, weight, breast width, and body habitus will make a difference for which implant style/projection to choose. Implant profile will also make a difference on the projection, which will influence overall breast/cup size. I have found that photographs brought by the patient is helpful to get a visualization of the appearance you wish for in terms of size, shape, fullness, etc. In addition, your surgeon's pre and postoperative photographs should demonstrate a realistic goal for you of results. Sizers are helpful during an in-office consultation. Once this has been accomplished, allow your surgeon to utilize his/her best medical judgment during the procedure to finesse the best possible result for you after preoperative biodimensional planning and fitting the right implant for your breast width. This is the most important determinant for the sizing of implants, which will provide the optimal result and most aesthetically-pleasing result for you.Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon well-versed in breast procedures who will examine and discuss with you the various options and factors to consider and help you decide which one will be the right one for you. Hope me that this helps! Best wishes for a wonderful result!

Answer: Will a 425cc be too large? Thank you for the question. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical.Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "B/C cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.
