Aesthetic and functional concerns - Is it reasonable to pursue additional eyelid surgery years after ptosis surgery? (Photos)

I had ptosis surgery in 2020 and since then I’ve noticed sensitivity, and a shallow/hooded appearance in the upper eyelids. My eyelids often feel thinner, smaller, and I frequently wake up with dry, irritated eyes, which makes me wonder if my eyelids are not fully closing or protecting the eyes properly during sleep. I’ve already used eye drops and lubricants. In addition to the functional symptoms, I’ve become increasingly self-conscious about how my eyelids look in photos and daily interactions. I’m now considering whether an additional or revision eyelid procedure could help, but I want to be cautious given my prior surgery. Specifically, I’m wondering: • Is it reasonable or medically appropriate to consider further eyelid surgery several years after ptosis repair? • What factors determine whether revision surgery is safe or recommended versus managing symptoms conservatively? Is it reasonable or medically appropriate to consider fat grafting, fillers, or revision eyelid surgery in this situation to add more volume? Could volume loss or structural changes be contributing to my symptoms, and what factors determine whether further intervention is recommended versus conservative management? Should this be evaluated by an oculoplastic surgeon? I’d appreciate guidance on whether pursuing another procedure makes sense and what next steps would be most appropriate.
