Will a breast augmentation hide pectus excavatum?

Question

am I able to hide my mild pectus excavatum with implants and if so is there a certain size or type of implant that would hide the indent better so that I can have cleavage like the attached picture?

You appear to have had a breast lift in the past from your scars. More important than augmentation would be lifting your breasts. I recommend a repeat lift as well as fat transfers to help hide your pectus excavatum.

Hi, thank you for sharing your question. Breast implants can disguise a pectus deformity, however the exact sizing of the implants can only be determined in person. In these situations, I like to use the Vector 3D imaging system to help guide implant selection. This device can generate images to help you to see what your results will look like ahead of time. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Good evening,
The simple answer is yes- implants can camouflage your pectus and give you normal cleavage- but the size and profile really need to be determined when I measure your chest, we review photos together, and you have an opportunity to try on the implant sizers here in the office. This usually requires two different sizes to establish good symmetry, and sometimes even different profile implants!

When done properly, pectus excavatum can be hidden rather well with implants.  The specific volume and dimensions of the implants should be chosen based on your body dimensions and with your goals in mind as well.  I recommend you work with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
