I just got my teeth whitened less than twelve hours ago with Zoom. My teeth are much whiter near the top of my teeth, as you can see in my front two especially. My teeth are different colors instead of one solid color. Should I be upset? Does that happen often? I'm more self conscious about my smile now than before.. This is awful. The top half of my top teeth are much whiter than the bottom half of them. It's like a gradient in an upside down U shape. What do I do?

Paige, Sounds like those gums of yours are pretty upset about the gel--you're right in that putting too much on will burn them. While they're healing they will be more sensitive and easier to traumatize. Think if you burned your hand and you had an ulcerated area; it'll be...
I'm confused why you have 2 photos that don't match??? (spacing of teeth in one vs. none in the other)Anyhow... You need periodic cleaning by a professional hygienist. Sonic toothbrush at home may help, as well as reducing the amount of tea you consume. Hope that helps!!
You can try regular external bleaching, but that may not work well enough. Your dentist may want to do an internal bleaching technique which would require a root canal first.
