Washing the face after Fractora either the same day or the day after the procedure depends on the recommendations of the doctor that performed the procedure. In my practice I recommend my patients to wash their face the next day.
The skin should be thoroughly cleansed before and after numbing cream is applied, so it is not necessary to cleanse it again that night. It is important to be gentile to your skin the days following your Fractora RF treatment, so be sure to use products that promote hydration and the regrowth of the skin. Be sure to tell your practice your skincare routine so they can advise the best post-treatment plan for you.
Each doctor performing Fractora should have their own recommendations for postprocedure care, including cleansing. It is best to consult with the office where you are having your procedure done to get their specific protocol. They probably have it written down for you too. I can tell you that in my own practice, we will have cleansed your face before the procedure, and applied a healing ointment ( we use ZO's Revitatrol) immediately following the procedure, so we don't typically begin cleansing until the day after the procedure, depending upon the time of day that the procedure was completed. We then cleanse once a day after that and reapply the ointment twice a day or as needed for a week. The truth of the matter is that the craters in your skin from the needle points will be healed within a couple of days, so a return to cleansing early on is just fine. Best of luck with your treatment.
Hi, Yes you can wash your face after your treatment. You may want to follow up with the office you had your treatment at. Everyone has their own post treatment protocols.Best Wishes to you.
Thank you for your question. In our office, we apply AquaPhor immediately following a Fractora treatment. It is not necessary to wash your face the first evening but if you do, I would reapply AquaPhor. Best to follow post-treatment instructions from the physician's office that performed the treatment.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
It is fine to wash your face. We apply aquaphor which helps keep the skin moistturized. Check with the office for specific instructions.
OK to wash your face. Each specialist has their own after care, follow your Dermatologist- Plastics advice. We recommend an occlusive moisturiser after washing. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia
I use Fractora for skin tightening. I especially like it along the jawline and the cheeks. I perform 3 treatments about 3-4 weeks apart.
We have have resolution of the areas in the first week depending on the combination of treatments performed. Please contact your provider if you need more support regarding your treatment.
Hi stilltexan and thank you for your question. Following skin resurfacing I typically request my patients utilize a gentle skin cleanser and an ointment to keep the skin moist while healing. With the skin barrier damaged, this can sometimes lead to increased sensitivity to various...
The thing to understand about all of these treatments is that they are designed to do a specific thing. The anatomy of the face and neck is arranged very much like an onion, in that there are distinct layers. Each layer ages in its own way, and there is very little overlap between them. W...
You are only 2 days out from your procedure, so the first thing to recognize is that it is VERY early in your recovery period. Your skin and even deeper tissues are swollen, red, crusting, and tender, and this is all completely normal and expected for this stage. The small punctate craters tha...
I use Fractora to treat areas I want to tighten on the face. I am not concerned with pigment when doing these treatments. I am doing these as a series of 3 treatments 3-4 weeks apart.
