Cheek sagging after submalar implant removal, what can be done to lift cheeks back up? (Photo)

20 yo, I got 3mm submalar medpor cheek implants and hated them as they made my cheeks look fat. Got them removed 3 months ago, and now the cheek kind of hangs towards my mouth area and is wide. Should I wait it out or consult with a doctor?

It is impossible to evaluate your current situation based on this photo. However, once you remove the implant, there will be some laxity of stretched tissues, at least for some time (several months), until tissue adhere into previous position and elasticity of tissues resume. In same cases, small amount of filler (Voluma) may help through this transition period. In person consultation wit a board certified plastic surgeon is recommended. Good luck.

Thank you for your question. I would give it six months from your implant removal to see what your cheeks do. However, you may be a candidate for a cheek lift procedure to correct the sagging. I only a full clinical evaluation will help determine that.
