I had a mole shaved off my stomach 5 days ago. The site is more tender than it was at first. I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is a normal healing process or a potentially worrisome infection. I've been applying antibiotic ointment and keeping it covered. I put hydrogen peroxide on it this evening, and I'm not sure if that would also contribute to slightly increased pain now.

Excising the big dark mole is really your best option and getting alittle dermabrasion over the incision at the same time is so helpful.. Any resulting scar is so much better looking than the mole itself so you have nothing to lose.

The leakage in the hours after is entirely normal and is a combination of serous fluid caused by trauma and local anaesthetic injected into the area. If the area continues to leak several days after I would advise you to seek medical advice.
