Can't book next microneedle appt for 8 weeks?

Question

I am 40yrs old, I have had 2 microneedling (pen) sessions, 6 weeks apart for tackling fine lines, collagen production, general colour/texture and a scar (not acne). My health care professional can't book my in again for 8 weeks. Is that too long to wait for it to be optimally effective? Should I bother with 3rd session?

Hi, thank you for your question! I recommend for microneedling sessions to be repeated every 6-8 weeks. If you are seen at the 8 week mark it will be just as effective. Yes, I always recommend for patients to between 2-4 sessions for a patient that is most concerned with textural issues. If you have scaring that is deeper I would recommend 6-8 sessions. I would recommend reaching out to your provider.

Research shows best results are spaced 4-6 weeks apart. However, at the 8 week mark you still will obtain results. At this time it would be best to finish the series of three treatments to finalize a initial plan and access results properly.
