I had an injector talk me into quite a bit of fern pattern technique with restalyne on both sides of the face. The more I emoted the more she filled and I have never been so swollen in my life. My question is can this cause puckering and creasing of the skin that’s around the cheek lines that were filled? It doesn’t look smooth and when I smile the filler is clearly in the way causing new dimples and creases that didn’t exist before. Face feels puffy and heavy.

Answer: Can Fern Pattern Technique on the cheeks cause puckering?
Yes, facial balancing and fillers can indeed reshape and contour a round face, creating more defined cheekbones and a slimmer appearance.
1) Cheek Augmentation: Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, or Radiesse, can be injected into the cheek area to create a more pronounced cheekbone...
Thanks for your question and for attaching pictures. You would need someone who specializes in using ultrasound for aesthetics to determine whether it is old filler or your own fat pads. If it is old filler, it can be dissolved but fat cannot.
Hope that helps!
This is so far zoomed out that I cannot tell what is going on with the face at all and what makes you concerned and what you mean when you say that your face is "not great in photos". If you love how you look then let it be!
