Is it safe to do Vanquish non-invasive procedure if I have a minor umbilical hernia?

I am male 38 years old. I read on a question posted here that Sculpsure is safe to perform with an umbilical hernia as long as the applicators are placed away from the hernia within 5 cm diameter. I am considering getting both Sculpsure and Vanquish for more skin tightening and more exaggeratred fat loss, but im curious if im a candidate for Vanquish or not?

This requires an in-person evaluation, but this should be fine. Keep in mind, with Vanquish and Sculpsure, a combination of treatments is needed. I recommend combining Sculpsure and Vanquish with Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. We currently use a fire and ice treatment with Coolsculpting and Vanquish for good results in fat removal. However, a VASER hi definition procedure would give you the best results with fat removal, contouring and definition. See an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. This is a question we have faced in several clients. Thus far, I have felt comfortable treating all of the patients presenting with an umbilical hernia. We are very careful to keep an attendant in the room at all times during this procedure whether a condition such as the umbilical hernia is present or not. I would have a greater concern if the umbilical hernia protruded too far out as it would affect our ability to properly place the Vanquish Me treatment head.  In order to obtain optimal results, we have developed our Vanquish Me Now protocol. This protocol combines 3 other treatments with the Vanquish Me treatment to optimize our results. Best to examine you in person. If the hernia is small and no tissue is stuck in the hernia then I don't see a problem with these procedures. the sculpsure/vanquish combo or coolsculpting/vanquish combo are interesting - the coolsculpting/vanquish they are calling fire and ice. we have all of these devices so we will be combining them - we just got the upgraded vanquish recently
