At least from the photos provided, the degree of chin recession is quite within the ordinary parameters for filler nonsurgical chin augmentation. A robust HA filler for this region typically yields at least in my experience well over a year's duration of effect, since the chin is not subject to that much mechanical movement. Permanent chin implants, contrary to public perception, do not necessarily give permanent results because they often need to be surgically removed and replaced as a person ages. The reason: bone loss in the jaw and chin that comes with aging leads to recession necessitating a change in the implant to accommodate. For this reason, there is a decided advantage to filler chin augmentation, which takes only five minutes to perform in experienced hands, typically gives rise to an immediate "Wow!" reaction, engenders little to no significant downtime, and does not require any cutting or surgery to implant or remove.
