Hi, this is my third time getting chin filler in a span of a year. I think I have over done it. Each time I’ve done 1 syringe. I mainly was focused on my side profile not realizing I was ruining the front shape of my chin. Is there any way to fix this while keeping a balanced profile?
Answer: Contouring With Injectable Fillers Is As Much Art As Science Facial contouring with injectable fillers is as much an art as it is science. Unlike simply injecting a fixed quantity of an antibiotic into the buttocks cookbook style (after flea market sale of filler treatments by the syringe, rather than by whatever it takes to get the job done properly), filler contouring requires an experienced injector's evaluation in both frontal, three-quarter face, and profile views for deciding which filler(s) and how much of each would be best for achieving gender appropriate shape and projection in all views. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist to determine in person exactly what course would be best at this particular juncture. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Non-Surgical Chin Augmentation with Injectable Fillers -- Radiesse, Sculptra, Surgical Implants, See an Expert I suggest you seek out a facial sculpting expert. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall appearance of the lower face and balancing the jaw and lip harmony. We use cannula injections to meticulously contour and project the chin, soften the chin along the jawline and improve the chin crease. Implants are still a great option once you are 100% positive that you are ready for a permanent enhancement. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert; our practice is located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Avoiding the 'pointy' chin Depending on the filler product utilized, with time, the impact of your prior procedures should become reduced as the product depletes. Simply waiting out the final result may be the most appropriate direction for you as you noted you underwent three separate procedures in a short period of time. The 'pointy' chin can result when placing a focused deposit of filler as opposed to using a bit more product and feathering it along the jawline to widen the frontal appearance. Also the placement of the filler lower on the chin can also give the appearance of a lengthening and 'pointy' change. I hope that helps in your thought process. I would recommend slowing down the process and see if it matches your expectation with time. If you add even more filler in an attempt to 'fix' the situation, you may like it even less.

Answer: Chin filler One whole syringe of filler in the chin may be too much. If the filler used is a hyaluronic acid filler, then gentle dissolving with Hylenex would help. The area can be molded to create a symmetrical look and to create a suitable appearance from the side profile, as well from the front. Next time start with half a syringe of filler, you may like the more natural result.

Answer: Chin filler Proper chin filler should make the facial appearance better at all angles. That's why I take before and after pics at every angle. The solution is most likely going to be filler again, placed while checking all angles and expressions. I hope this helps.
