The most important thing here is restoration of single binocular vision. End of story. Do not be in a hurry to get the upper eyelids fixed. You may very well need a second round of straightening the eyes to obtain single binocular vision. You did not state what the cause of your alignment deviation. However, most of these surgeries should be done with adjustable sutures in many cases. Despite that, it can come to pass that additional strabismus surgery might be necessary. This work can affect the eyelid position. Also, you eyelid problem is not so much ptosis but uncontrolled crease position. It is the upper fold that needs to be reconstructed. Changing the position of the upper eyelid margin height (ptosis surgery) does reduce the visible platform show. However the bulk of the work that will be needed to soften the appearance of the upper eyelid is crease lowering and upper eyelid fold reconstruction. Ptosis surgeons do not really do this work. In any event, I would not do eyelid surgery reconstruction until at least 6 months have passed after you have achieved single binocular vision.
