Since you experienced much more bruising under this eye after the injection, your body may have formed some extra collagen in the area. It is impossible to know if it is filler or scar tissue or a combination. I would suggest a combination of a small amount of hyaluronidase and a dilute steroid. Small and dilute are the keys. If either are too much, a depresion could result.

I am sorry to learn that you are having problems with your filler injections. Even though they were performed a year ago, Restylane can persist for a longer time under the eyes. I feel that treatment with hyaluronidase would be your best option at this point. You may need to essentially start over. I have seen patients in whom hyaluronidase injections have produced improvement in their appearance to the point where additional fillers are not required. However if you elect to undergo treatment with hyaluronidase, you may wish to plan on being reinjected by someone who is highly experienced in treating this region. Best of luck.
