I had epicanthoplasty on Sep 4th,2013. Scars are raised and red, what should I do? (photo)

My friend has a much better result but I'm growing a raised scar.The scar on the corner of my eyes are less noticeable but I can see a raised line on my left lower lid. I'm very worried!

You are still healing. Most incisions take a full six months to full resolve. Gentle massage twice a day and the application of some of the available scar softening gels would also help. It can be stressful watching small changes occur slowly. Time is on your side. you should be fine.

I recommend that you see your surgeon to talk about scar management.  While the scars are healing beautifully, there are a variety of methods to further manage and improve the scars.

You have a very good result. I agree that the left lower eyelid incision is noticeable with slight pink and raised appearance but this is early in the process of healing. There are simple things you can begin doing such as massage and use of silicone gels. Talk to your surgeon about your concern and I'm sure they can address it.

The right side does look better than the left. The left side may fade over time or you may need a scar revision. As of now, i would massage in many times a day,putting significant pressure on it. Scars respond to massage and pressure by thinning out.Eventhough it concerns you, it doesnt look too bad. I think in the long run, it will be just fine
