How soon should I get cosmelan 1 touch up?

Question

I did get my cosmelan 1 mask yesterday and Nurse Practitioner applied only the 1/2 jar of cosmelan 1 yesterday and instruct me to wash the mask off after 7 hours. Also I got cosmelan 2 cream to apply at home. She told me we will use the other 1/2 of the cosmelan1 in 3 month. Do I need to get this touch up cosmelan1 sooner?

The standard Cosmelan treatment is Cosmelan 1 applied on day one . Wash it off several hours later depending on how light or dark the person is, apply moisturizer, continue with Cosmelan 2 and moisturizer the next day,  after 3 weeks Cosmelan 1 is reapplied and Cosmelan 2 and moisturizer is continued until none are left.

Hi there, To answer your question it is best to have the second application of Cosmelan 1 applied 4 to 6 weeks after the first application. This really gives you the best results!  Also keep in mind that the Cosmelan 2 is to be used 3 days after to help treat any remaining spots. Best of luck!Best,Dr. Obaid

Your application wasnt dont to my standard, I suggest you see an expert. I would have combined this with clear and brilliant and had you come back in 2 weeks for more laser.  Cosmelan shouldn't need a touch up.  but should be done a few times a year.Hyperpigmentation from any type needs a combination approach of peels like cosmelan,  lasers like clear and brilliant and aerolase or laser genesis, radiofrequency like venus viva, and constant skin care and sun protection.  Bimontly facials with silk peel dermalinfusion is essential to hydrate, exfoliate and infuse vitamins and antioxidants into the skin.  If you have acne you can do additional treatments and peels to get more improvement.  I suggest a formal consultation with an expert in lasers and peels.
