I have asked already on this forum, what can I do about awful Facelift I had, which left me with terrible scars and severe depression. I got answers that it will NOT be easy to fix and I need an really specialized surgeon... PLEASE help me before I get mad, I will pay any money to have it done perfectly. I can not put my hair back, so I do not do any sport, I avoid going out, meeting people etc. HELP!

Answer: Face lift revision It all depends on what you feel needs to be fixed. You have only shown the scars and not the status of the skin or soft tissues of the cheeks, neck etc to evaluate if you need a repeat face lift for tightening or just simply scar revision. There are benefits of having generous hair to obscure the scalp scars but if there is not enough skin on the face to "replace" these scars then you have to do a "local" scar revision. If the original face lift was sutured too tightly it can cause scars to spread. A revision of the scar would likely provide some improvement since there has been some relaxation of the skin in the interim. The skin tone in the region of the tragus unfortunately is not a good tone match to that of the ear on the right with the loss of normal tragal contour. The pixie ear can be improved but will leave a vertical/oblique scar below the new corrected ear lobe. Best of luck.

Answer: Scar corrections Thank you for your question and I am sorry that you have had such an experience.Unfortunately, facelift surgery as with all surgery can have certain risks and most surgeons strive to not get any complications but we all do. With that in mind, in our clinic we do see a lot of revision cases of facelifts carried out elsewhere and have experience in dealing with the concerns that you have stated. The pixie ear deformity can be addressed. This may or may not require a full facelift to fix it and is something that we would assess at the time of consultation. With the scars, depending on the overall laxity and give of the skin would determine if these scars could be completely or partly removed and made neater.Incidentally, did you have stitches that needed to be removed after the surgery or have metal clips placed? The scarring does seem to suggest this. We carry out over 600 facelifts a year and within this are a number of similar cases to what you have described. I hope this is of some help to youKind regards
