This is a great question. There is some talk about using radio frequency (not the IPL) to actually soften threads that are placed too close to the skin and have a bulge. So the interpretation of this is that a lot of heat may softened or weaken the threads. However the IPL is not generating a lot of heat deep into the tissue so you actually should be just fine with this treatment after threads.
