I've had a few laser tattoo removal sessions on an all black tattoo I had gotten last summer. I figured I'd have major blistering. But so far, I'm on my fourth treatment and I never seem to blister? What does the blistering indicate during tattoo removal?

Answer: No blistering is normal Thank you for your question. No blistering is normal with laser tattoo procedures. Blistering is a risk with every procedure but it increases the risk of scarring, permanent pigment changes and infection. In general, the laser is turned up a little each time you come in. If you blistered the last time, it generally won't be turned up or it will be increased less than normal. The person performing the treatment should be asking you each time if you blistered the last time. If you want the fewest number of treatments, spread them out, like 2-3 months in between. The more time you give your immune system to work on them, the more ink will go away. Good luck.

Answer: It's ok Don't worry. Blistering is not necessary but possible especially with higher energy levels. It should still be working okay if you continue your sessions.
