I just received a quote on my breast augmentation and lift. My breast lift type reads "standard mastopexy bilateral". What type of lift is this standard mastopexy bilateral? Is that anchor, vertical, or an areola incision?

Answer: Standard? Standard mastopexy differs from surgeon to surgeon. Best to ask the surgeon the precise technique that will be used. Donald R. Nunn MD Atlanta Plastic Surgeon.

Answer: Standard Mastopexy Bilateral? I had to laugh at this question. The surgeon and his office are using an internal term that have no meaning to another surgeon. The "bilateral" is OK and means both sides. The "mastopexy" term is a breast lift. But the "standard"??? The only person who knows what standard means to that doctor is the doctor himslf. You definitely need to know exactly what will be done and if he hasn't explained that to you with great care I would suggest you might find another doctor who will.
