Can I change my doctor or pause tattoo removal for few months in between treatments?

There is no harm in waiting in between laser tattoo removal. This procedure is not time dependent. It will give the body time to break down the ink and fade out the tattoo.

Tattoo removal is a long-term process, as you've learned. There is no harm in waiting between sessions until you're settled into your new home and have been able to find a board-certified dermatologist to help you remove the tattoo. Take your time finding someone who is qualified, has experience with tattoo removal, and with whom you feel confidence and trust.

There is no harm in waiting between treatments.  My only recommendation is that if you were satisfied with the results you received you may want to ask your doctor what type of laser was used and if they can provide a referral to a practitioner in another city that uses the same laser.  Otherwise, just make sure you are seeking a qualified, experienced clinician that you are comfortable with when you are ready to resume treatments.  All the best to you!

Hello, thank you for your question.  It is definitely OK to wait extended periods of time in between appointments, actually extra time between appointments allow your body more time to absorb the ink particles.  This is why it does not benefit the patient to do repeat treatments too close together as it takes time for the body to absorb the ink.Good Luck!
