Hydrocortisone helps to clam the skin, helps with follicular edema & irritation. You don't have to use hydrocortisone . You can apply only if you have any of the above symptoms within the first 48hrs of your laser hair treatment . Best Dr K
Absolutely not! Much of my laser hair removal work is done on the face, and we don't want thinning of the skin from too much topical cortisone. There are various laser healing gels available for use to help the skin heal well. Ask your practitioner to recommend one. We use the Elta MD Skincare Laser Enzyme Gel.
I never have my patients use steroid creams on their skin after laser hair removal. I am mostly concerned with good hydration and protection from the sun.
