I have really bad scars on my legs from when I injected drugs what is the best way to remove remove them or fade them? (photo)

They make me feel a shamed to wear shorts as well as I cannot go swimming with my to sons because of something I did when I was young what can I do to help get rid of these discusting marks on my legs
