Without photos, it is difficult to guide you. But in general, the scars will relax over time and should not remain indented. If they do, a scar revision could be done to correct it. Best of luck.

Hello and thanks for posting your question.Based on your description, you should be evaluated by your surgeon in person. New onset swelling many months after complete recovery after implant based reconstruction is worrisome for complications such as seroma, hematoma, delayed infection, etc. 

Difficult to comment without photos. Pre-pectoral reconstruction is a newer technique with great results in the right patients. I prefer using anatomic shaped implants and don't have my patients massage the implant. Check with your plastic surgeon regarding postoperative instructions. Best, Dr....
