Can TCA CROSS Destroy Pilosebaceous Unit?

Can TCA CROSS damage or destroy a pilosebaceous unit when applied to a large pore? Furthermore, can this lead to long term pain or irritation in these pores? I received this for large pores 8 months ago, and those pores all apear to be gone entirely with a pink top or the pore no longer produces oil. The treatment along jawline and mouth is now always tender and hurts when eating or smiling. Unsure if there is internal damage or due to irritation from no oil production.

Your skin is likely sun sensitive and you may have some discoloration from the peel. I would suggest doing a series of lighter Melapeels on a monthly basis, followed by topical creams to help your skin. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian
