Some studies show that there is less injury to the body with Vaser than with traditional #liposuction. Recovery from Vaser Liposuction is based on the level of soreness and bruising experienced by the patient. But, it can vary among patients. As with traditional liposuction, there are no large incisions or effect on the muscle and other underlying tissue. Therefore, #healing time may be less than anticipated by most. Therefore, Vaser patients may experience less #pain or discomfort, #swelling (#edema) and bruising post procedure due to the nature of the technique. A quicker #recovery for a patient may be two to three weeks without any strenuous activity. This includes the short period of suggested rest of 12-24 hours soon following the procedure. #Exercise and activity are contingent on how the patient feels. Mild activity is not likely to hinder recovery or healing or create problems with recovery. However, it is recommended to acquire your doctor's permission to do so. Once you begin exercising again, start gently and let your body tell you what it can tolerate. Don’t rush! After one to three days, you should be able to return to work. As I advise my patients, if your work keeps you sedentary, you may return whenever you feel up to it. If your work is strenuous, wait until your work activity does not cause any superficial pain. Some employers will modify a person’s job duties so they can back sooner, but without physical activity. Our office can provide our patients with a note stating they are not to engage in strenuous activity for a specified period of time. The note will not disclose what procedure they have underwent. Therefore, you may have to request a similar note from your surgeon if you are not independently employed. If you have concerns about your healing, or pain that you question to be unusual, it is important to call your plastic surgeon to discuss these further asked to be examined.
This will vary from surgeon to surgeon based upon preference and the amount of liposuction performed. Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
In most cases, 1 week is long enough to take off from work after liposuction. This could vary depending on your general physical shape and the type of work you do. Even though you might return to work after one week, your activities will still be limited for about 3 weeks after surgery. Your surgeon can better advise you on this at the time of your consultation.
This recovery time frame NEEDS to be addressed by your chosen surgeon... WE generally ask for 5 days to a week off work in my practice...
This question can only be answered by your surgeon. VASER is just an assistive technology. You are still having full torso liposuction surgery. Recovery has everything to do with how extensive the procedure will be, how old you are, what kind of physical shape you are in, what you do for a living etc. as well as your surgeon's technique, experience and goals. Its not a haircut. Its surgery. I would expect 7 days at a minimum, but closer to 2 weeks.
The #cost of vaser liposuction varies according to the areas of the body being treated and the length of surgery. It is especially good for sculpting delicate areas such as the neck. A good estimate of the cost can be gotten by an in-patient consultation. Treatment generally starts at abou...
Hi, please take not that pain and discomfort varies greatly between patients. Usually, #swelling and bruising will be improved by 2 weeks but may persist for up to 6-8 weeks. Activity is largely dependent upon how you feel. It is mostly based on the level of soreness or bruising that you may ex...
Hi, 1 week is too soon to see results because swelling and bruising usually resolve after 2 weeks but may persist up to 6-8 weeks. Please be patient as you can usually begin to see #results 2-4 months later as the swelling continues to diminish and contours become more defined, but improv...
