In my office
I have the GentleMax Pro machine by Candela/Syneron; I believe that this
machine is gold standard in hair removal. This machine has a dual wavelength
that contains the Alexandrite and the Nd:Yag technologies. Having both
wavelengths allows me to treat all skin types. The Alex should be used on
lighter skin types and the Nd:Yag should be used on darker skin types like
Asian, Hispanic, Indian etc.

This machine
uses a Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) technology to protect the upper layers of
your skin with a cooling burst of cryogen right before the laser pulse for
optimal hair removal with minimal side effects.

For best
treatment it is important to shave the area the night before or morning of
treatment and have your treatments about 6-8 weeks apart. Most patients will
require at least 5 treatments but may require more.
