I recently had my second brazilian laser hair removal treatment and I immediately received these multiple red spots. I didn't have any during my first treatment and they are making me anxious. Is this reaction normal? How long should they last? And how's the best way to treat the area. I'm very scared of scarring.

Answer: Red spot after hair removal Thank you for your question and picture. Those spots can happen after laser hair removal. Applying a corticosteroid cream will help as well as avoiding more irritation, like rubbing, in the treated area. I recommend following up with an expert. Hope this help. Good luck,

Answer: Irritation after Laser Hair Removal Many patients undergo hair removal without any problems. Occasionally, we do see some irritation after the laser treatment which looks like the picture you have sent. It should heal without scarring. Do not use any irritating products on the area. If you can, avoid shaving on the irritated area. If it is going to be exposed to the sun, wear sunscreen. If there is any question, see a doctor with experience in laser hair removal. Regards, Dr. D.
