I had 425cc gummy bear implants placed under the muscle 3 days ago. I am 5"7 athletic build. I was wide set before surgery and so my implants are also very far apart. Do they look too wide set? Is there anything that can be done? I saw on YouTube people suggesting you tie the front of your bra straps together across your breastbone to hold breasts closer together or putting pads on the sides to push them together. Is this a good idea? Could it hurt anything? Will it change the position of them over time?
Answer: Cleavage Based on your photos, your results look good. Cleavage is really dictated by your anatomy since the implant needs to be centered behind your nipple. Best, Dr. Nazarian

Answer: Wide Set Breasts Your early post-op photos look like you have an excellent result. A great result in breast augmentation requires that each implant is centered behind each nipple. The only way to bring breasts further together is to use a wider implant. But there are practical limits. Best of luck!

Answer: Is there anything that can be done to help wide set breasts implants move closer together? I appreciate your question. Right now, you are very early on in the post op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortable having implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for you to physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are many variables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop size and shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patients heal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a different rate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon so he/she can examine you and inquire about the strap. Then reassess final result at 6 months. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Answer: Implant position Hello, the spacing of breast implants does depend to a large extent on your pre-existing anatomy. If they are positioned too close together on a person with widely spaced breasts the results may be suboptimal. You could speak to your surgeon about using an external device. Over time, the implant appearance may also change since your surgery was quite recent.
