Plucking immediately after laser treatment?

It's fine to pluck the hairs after laser treatment. The time when plucking is NOT recommended is within 2 weeks BEFORE laser treatment because the root of the hair is the target for the laser. Plucking hair does not promote hair growth.

For the best result your hair removal sessions should be scheduled no closer together than 6 weeks and ideally you will manage the growth in between by trimming or shaving. I know this is not attractive to many women but in order to have hair follicles which are going to respond to the laser energy, the hairs must remain in the shaft. Plucking or waxing removes the targets that the laser requires to destroy the hair follicle. More frequent treatments  will be a waste of time and money. It is important to find a medical laser centre that understands laser technology and hair growth physiology so you get the best outcome from your treatment.

Normal time interval between treatments for facial laser hair removal should be a minimum of 4 weeks.  Immediately after the treatment or next day you can tug on the  extruding hair and if it comes out easily if was in the right phase of growth to be treated by the laser. If it does not come out you can take a strip of scotch tape and try but if it still does not come out- trim it close with a fine pair or scissors or wait 2 days and shave it but do not pluck it... No plucking whatsoever once you have started laser hair removal treatments!
