Pain and mild face swelling 3 weeks post veneer. Options? (photo)

Question

It’s only one tooth that is hurting at the moment and I noticed that my face on top of the affected tooth is mildly swollen. It wasn’t painful after a week post permanent veneers installation it only gave me pain coming to 3 weeks. Please help me what to do or what could have happen. Thanks. I have tried to mouth guard because at times I clench my teeth at night.

For sure have your dentist look at this.  It could be as simple as relieving a contact and allowing teeth to meet better or may be more involved and require treatment of the root.  Either way, the sooner you have it looked into, the sooner you can get it addressed and the less involved the solution will be.
A high contact may break the veneer or tooth and if the tooth is damaged internally, then the infection in the bone is not a good thing to live with.

Hi, you should not have pain, it's not normal. You should visit your dentist to find what causes the pain and inflammation. you must wear at night, while you sleep a retainer to avoid bruxism
